Track 2: Suddenly Seeking Contentment

Due to the fact that I have decided to brave the world and submit my body to the master cleanse (yes the one Beyonce did to get skinny for Dream Girls) I decided to thwart my hunger to distraction so BINGO! Yoga helped me find track 2. In yoga the teacher said find your contentment... as if those in the triangle pose were not already doing so I mean thats what us la people do seek... contentment in a society where being superficial is more than a lifestyle it is the way life here. However us Hollywood and Hollywood hopeful folks seek things like yoga or Whole Foods to make us feel better about the fact we work in an industry that entertains you in order to disctract you from opening the Wall Street Journal to read about what really matters in the world. Sigh as I digress that statement really stuck to me, I am not sure if it is because she kept saying it or if it really made me ponder am I content? I just could not find it so each pose after pose tree after pigeon I could not find it, finally the lights are dimmed we are in final resting pose I look around and then just close my eyes, the world stopped nothing seemed to matter and when she turned on the lights I realized I found it! The contentment I was seeking is nowhere to be found it just lurks and when you pay life no mind that is when the contentment is found. Namaste.

Track One- The Right Side of Complexity

Track one a continuation of the intro... I decided to take a class at UCLA Extension known as Creative Writing from The Right Side of the Brain and all I have to say is WOW! Writing can really release the soul and it was an amazing feeling to let out the caged birds that had been screaming for so long. The teacher had us do these exercises that the first time I cannot lie I did miserable. However I tried it again and it was ahhhhmazing I mean who knew I had it in me? Well I did no lies but just with all the things going on in my life I could not take the time to pay it any mind. So only naturally I was left with no choice but to give my most neglected love first track placement... maybe I will post what I wrote for class (not to brag but the class was crying along with my teacher) or maybe you will just have to wait for me to publish it a reading journal lol. But the greatest part of class was when all the students introduced themselves and I being the weirdo said something that caused my teacher to say hmm you are rather complex and my response... "I prefer not to refer to myself as complex because those that claim to be so are not complex at all."

Intro

Welcome to my blog but since I am a child of music we will reference it as though I am a hungry... hmmmm let's say singer/songwrite/rapper/ producer extraordinaire who wants to get her message out there to whoever is willing to listen.

Each post will refer to track listing and titles and this my friends is the intro where some really cool DJ is cursing and telling you that what you are about to hear is hot fire... yes I know I am quite the cheeseball.

So welcome and this mixtape is for your listening pleasure. What makes my mix tape so unique is that I have no motive or intention. I might sing about my life , rap about what's going on around me or I may just drop a beat that lets you interpret it for yourself.
